Universal ROM/ISO Editor by Tony H. t_hedstrom@yahoo.com 10/15/2024

Any save files with "NOTE" in the name means it has useful info that you should read on how to use the actual save file.

How to use and make save files:

To use a pre-saved file included with the editor (in the "Saved files" folder): Just open your ROM, then click the "Open saved file" button and select the file you want. The file is just a text file with all the info the editor needs. When you open your save file, make sure the Version/Serial number matches the ROM you have. Once the file is open, you can go right to the Edit page and start editing and patching. With some of the save files I made, you may have to add more names or notes. I plan on adding more pre-saved files in future updates.

To make your own save file: Once you have found a match and have added names and notes in the editor, you'll see a section at the bottom of the page where you can enter you save file details. The actual name of the ROM you have opened will already be automatically entered. You will need to enter a name for your save file. Can be whatever you want, but probably should have the name of the game in it at least. Do NOT add a file extension to your file name. It will be saved as a text file (.txt), but do not add .txt to the end of your file name (it does it automatically). You can also add the version or serial number for your game if you want, as well as what it was that you were editing (enemy stats, weapon stats, etc). To save everything, just click the "Create text file" button. Your file will be saved in the same folder as the editor's executable. Note that a file with the same name will get overwritten.

If you make a save file, feel free to email it to me and I'll try to add it in a future update.
